India Open badminton | Nehwal and Sindhu handed easy draw

Nehwal, the 2015 India Open winner, will begin her campaign against Lee Chia-Hsin on March 29, and a win would see her meet the winner of the match between Hsu Ya Ching and Pornpawee Chochuwong. Should the 27-year-old progress, she would set up the dream match against her compatriot. Sindhu, meanwhile, would have to beat Liang Xiaoyu and Saena Kawakami to get there.

Whoever emerges victorious will come up against Sung Ji-Hyun in the semi-final and, in all likelihood, Spanish top-seed Carolina Marin the final.

In the men's draw, Kidambi Srikanth and Ajay Jayaram are on collision course in the second round. However, Jayaram would have to go past third seed Viktor Axelsen to set up the match. HS Prannoy has a relatively easy draw - not meeting a seeded player before the quarterfinal where he could face NG Ka Long Angus.
