Australia surged ahead in their quest to regain the coveted urn as they reduced England to 132/4 when rain announced its arrival for the second time on Day 4 in Perth today with England still trailing by 127 runs. With a steep task ahead of them, a settled Vince was always going to be important for the team, but with Starc firing on all cylinders, there was no place to hide for the visitors at the WACA.
On the penultimate ball of the 30th over, the Aussie spearhead bowled a delivery from around the wicket that pitched on the line of the off-stump. In a normal scenario, the ball would have gone on to miss the leg-stump. However, the ball landed on the huge 16 mm crack and deviated an incredible 3.9 degrees which resulted in the ball going on to demolish the off stump while Vince was trying to flick that ball across the line.
That's just absurd

If the Englishman could wait for the shot until the ball landed, he could have survived and taken England to a position that they would have liked. But, it is, again, unfair to fault him, for the fact that it was an unplayable delivery and only a once-in-a-lifetime bowler, which Starc surely is, could emulate.
Yeah that's done a bit!

The wicket was bound to take social media by storm and here are some of the best reactions :
Just when people thought he was “out of sorts”, BOOM!
Starc looked a bit out of sorts today, but that was one of the best deliveries I’ve ever seen. Shame, as Vince was in fine touch.

When Starc comes round the wicket with that shape away at 150 kph, good luck playing that

That reaction when you have a solution to a problem!
Possibly the best part of Starc's wicket of Vince was the batsman's reaction to the delivery

And the comparisons begin!
That Mitch Starc delivery is better than the Shane Warne delivery which bowled Mike Gatting. What a Jaffer it was !!
— Bong Boy (@ProudRed82)
It's been called 'The Ball of the ' by - what do you think?
— ICC (@ICC)
But this might’ve been the actual reason for that delivery!
Seems surreal but it was more to do with the crack than Starc's excellence. A wonderful wicket anyway.

Nice jinx Warney!
No sooner had Shane Warne uttered 'we're going to see a lot more of James Vince' than Mitchell Starc spreadeagles his stumps with a jaffa out of the crack ENG 4-100
