Following India's win over England in the final T20 in Bengaluru yesterday, Virat Kohli was asked about his struggles opening the innings for India. Kohli jokingly responded by saying that the media should concentrate on other players as well and if he did everything, what would the others do?

Virat Kohli has experienced an incredible run of form over the last year that has seen his average rise above 50 in all formats of the game. However, in the recently concluded T20 series, opening the innings for India, Kohli could only muster scores of 29, 21, and 2. During the post-match press conference, a journalist questioned his recent bad form to which Kohli responded with a smile on his face.

He said, "I opened the innings in the Indian Premier League where I scored four hundreds, nobody said a word then. Now everybody has a problem now that I have not scored runs. At that time people were saying - such a revelation he has opened the innings. Sir, focus on other people as well. There are ten more people in the team. What will the others do if I will do everything?"

Kohli also added that he was more happy about the series win and his lack of big scores did not really bother him.

"Give others a chance as well. It's a great series win for us. I am happier about that. I am not worried about my opening slot at all. If I had scored 70 runs in two matches, would you have asked me this question? So be happy for the team and enjoy," the 28-year-old concluded.
