India pacer Mohammed Shami has touched down with the team in Dharamsala and is expected to feature in the final Test against Australia starting on March 25. Shami confirmed the news on Instagram, and Virat Kohli has already hinted at his inclusion for the decider with the 4-match series level 1-1.

Shami posted a picture captioned “Beautiful good morning in Dharamshala”.

Shami is likely to feature in the final Test, with skipper Kohli saying post the drawn third Test in Ranchi, "We sent him to play (Vijay Hazare Trophy), wanted to give him match practice. I’ve not spoken to selectors but all kinds of possibility are there approaching the next Test.”

Shami was ruled out with an injury midway through the home Test series against England late last year, and subsequently lost his father, which was another major setback for the bowler.

He returned to competitive action in the Vijay Hazare Trophy and took 4-26 for Bengal in the final against Tamil Nadu, although his efforts could not win the match for his side.

However, Shami’s clinical efforts caught Kohli's eye.
