Vinod Rai revealed that any decision to be taken concerning team selection and other things will be taken after the team manager submits his report of the UK tour in the coming days. After India won the T20I series against Ireland and England, they went to lose ODI and Test series against England.

The Indian cricket team is currently playing the last and final match of their UK tour in search of a consolatory win after having already lost the series in four matches itself. It has been a tour which has seen up’s & down’s for Virat Kohli & Co. in the past two months or so with numerous controversies wrapping around it.

After the fourth Test, the coaching staff came under huge criticism amidst the team selection fiasco that has been a constant in the series. And now, Committee of Administrators (CoA) chief Vinod Rai has revealed that any decision regarding the disappointing series would be made only after the team manager handed in his report.

“I am not committing anything but there is always a review, once the team manager submits his report, we will take a view on it,” Rai told ANI.

Joe Root & Co. have an unassailable 3-1 lead in the Test series. India had lost the first Test at Edgbaston by 31 runs, chasing a target of 194 while Kohli’s side were totally crushed at the Lord’s in the second match where they lost by an innings and 159 runs. And though India bounced back with an improved performance to win the third Test in Nottingham by 203 runs, which gave some hope to Indian supporters, they slumped in the fourth Test again.
