The amicus curiae has stated that all the state units need to adapt the entire Lodha Committee recommendations without fail apart from the “apex council member” clause. The meeting was also attended by the Committee of Administrators (CoA) members with the other state association officials.

Most of the state associations are against the Lodha committee recommendations and have regularly complained in front of last amicus curiae Gopal Subramanian, but as the latter changed his position and the Supreme Court appointed PS Narasimha as the new AC for the BCCI, the fortunes have started to change for the associations.

In a meeting in Mumbai yesterday, Amicus curiae PS Narasimha has agreed to their request that the number of members in the Apex Council of the state units be increased from six, as the Lodha reforms and BCCI's new constitution mandate.

However, the Amicus curiae made it clear that except this clause, all the state units need to adopt all other Lodha reforms in toto and change their constitution accordingly. Narsimha will now submit his report to the Supreme Court on Thursday when the next hearing on the case will take place.

"He has understood our point that it's difficult to manage the state associations with only a six-member apex council. The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA), for example, proposed that there should be a17-member apex council. However, he has told us to comply with all the other Lodha reforms, including hiring a CEO who has worked previously in a firm with a turnover of Rs 100 crore," a source close to BCCI told ToI.
