I try not to get affected by criticism, reveals Ajinkya Rahane

The Indian cricket team registered a resounding 318-run win against West Indies in the opening Test played at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium. Test vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane was brilliant with the bat as he scored 81 in the first innings and followed that up with 102 in the second to power his side to mammoth win the two-match series. 

Rahane, who has played 57 Test matches for India and scored 3671 runs in the process, revealed that after he does not pay much attention to his critics which helps him focus better on his cricket. 

"I try not to get affected by criticism as it is unwanted and I can't control it. You are always happy when you make a hundred," Rahane told fellow Mumbaikar Rohit Sharma in a chat aired on 'bcci.tv'.

After impressing in Antigua, Rahane and India pacer Jasprit Bumrah broke into the ICC Top 10 Test rankings. Bumrah climbed to number seven in the bowlers list while Rahane secured the 10th spot in the batter's list.
