Alex Carey has stated that the Australian players have got a lot of confidence for the Indian tour from the recently-concluded Big Bash League. The Australian vice-captain has also mentioned that they would be looking forward to play some fearless cricket against the Indians in the series.

Australia will start its India tour with the T20I series starting tomorrow in Vizag while the second and last game of the T20 series has been scheduled to be played in Bengaluru on February 27. The Australians would look forward to take the revenge against the Indians as the two teams battle it out first in the shortest format of the game before going into the ODIs.

Meanwhile, the vice-captain of the Kangaroos has underlined the fact that the experience of playing in the Big Bash League would serve as a confidence booster for many in the upcoming T20 series.

"The guys have had their Big Bash campaign just finished and they're in T20 mode so we'll hit the two T20s and then get stuck into the five one-dayers," said Carey as reported by India Today.

"The confidence is up for all the players and we're really excited now to get playing, get stuck into the Indians."

The Indians had won the ODI series during their last tour to Australia earlier this year while the T20I series ended in a 1-1 draw. The vice-captain has been of the opinion that the matches against India would be the important ones in the shortest format as well considering the upcoming ICC World T20 next year.

"I think the guys coming off the Big Bash have played a lot of T20 cricket and I think we'll treat these as some pretty big games of T20 cricket leading into the World Cup next year in Australia. Any opportunity we get to play T20 it's T20 mode, which hopefully will start off our tour really well.

"(It's) some exciting cricket, go out there and play fearless and have some freedom and get stuck in to these guys," Carey said.

After a good couple of weeks of break, Indian players will don the blue jersey once again and this time against the same old Australia. While the T20s hold very little significance in the context of the present time, India will aim to give some players a break before taking them out in the ODIs.
