Ahead of the start of the 12th edition of the IPL, inaugural champions Rajasthan Royals are trying to get things right. The team had a training camp at the Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai and few of the Indian cricketers in the franchise attended the camp. Head coach Upton and head of cricket Bharucha oversaw the performance of the players in the first camp ahead of the league.
The team has stated in a media release that the star players of the franchise Ajinkya Rahane and Jaydev Unadkat will also be a part of the practice match which will be played before the commencement of the league. Sanju Samson, Stuart Binny, Dhawal Kulkarni and new recruits Riyan Parag, Shubham Ranjane, Shashank Singh among others will also be a part of the team during those matches.
"It feels great to be back with the Royals and to work with this squad that is full of energetic and talented players. They show promise and determination. They are eager to deliver the best they can. We are indeed excited to be beginning the season at home in the SMS stadium," said Upton, reported NDTV.
The Royals will begin their season at home when they will face Kings XI Punjab at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur on March 25.
