Twitter reacts to Umesh Yadav’s 'pinpoint' direct hit to run Kagiso Rabada out despite fumble

Fast bowlers have always been a treasure to their side not only for their brilliance with the ball but also for their strong arms that make them execute amazing throws from the deep. Today, India's Umesh Yadav displayed one such instance where despite an initial fumble, he managed to run Rabada out.

Earlier, in India’s first innings, Umesh Yadav made a stunning cameo scoring 31 off 10 which included five amazingly entertaining sixes. Once again, in South Africa’s first innings, Yadav displayed the strength of his arms pulling off a direct hit and getting the batsman to walk back to the pavilion.

Kagiso Rabada, batting at zero with South Africa at 130/7, pounded Ravichandran Ashwin's delivery by hitting it towards mid-off where Umesh Yadav was fielding. The pacer made a diving movement towards the fast-moving ball but could only half-stop it as he fumbled a bit before he could grasp the ball. However, despite the half-stop, he recovered in no time and then he pulled off something that stunned Rabada who was running towards the non-striker’s end. He fired a throw towards the stumps and got it right. An outstanding show of athleticism from the Indian fast bowler which eventually ended up in the undoing of his Proteas counterpart!

Here is how Twitter reacted to the incident:

Absolute stunner from Umesh Yadav!

Tried to be cheeky but Rabada couldn't make it!

There was definitely no run there!

The top-order failed to score! What can Rabada do there?

Simply outstanding from Umesh Yadav!
