Kolkata Knightriders skipper Shreyas Iyer has been doing well as a skipper in the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League so far. He has led his side to two wins out of the three games that KKR has played in IPL 2022 but, the star batter has not been able to make an impact with the bat so far.

Shreyas Iyer has been terrific as a captain of Kolkata Knightriders in IPL 2022 captain of his new franchise. He has won two out of the three games that KKR played and was praised for his leadership skills even when his team lost the game against RCB. However, the young Indian batter has not been making an impact with the bat. He looks in good touch when he walks out to bat for his franchise but is often undone by spinners.

Former Indian batter Aakash Chopra shed some light on the issue and spoke about his problems against spinners. While speaking on his YouTube channel Aakash Chopra said that Shreyas seems to have some issues against leg-spinners

“Shreyas Iyer seems to have an issue with leg-spinners. He looks at the ball and it seems that he wants to hit a six. In the last match, he got out to (Wanindu) Hasaranga. He's too good a player to play shots like these to get out. Yes, Shreyas, you got to get your act together".

It will be important for Shreyas Iyer to come good with the bat as it will help his team position themselves strongly on the points table. KKR demolished Punjab Kings in their third game after some power hitting from Andre Russell.
