IPL 2022 | Arshdeep Singh is a special player, states Irfan Pathan

Punjab Kings pacer Arshdeep Singh has garnered praise from all corners of the cricketing world for his performance in IPL 2022. The young fast bowler has done well for his franchise whenever the ball is given to him during the death overs. Arshdeep Singh was one of the two players that Punjab Kings had retained while going into the mega auction earlier this year. The left-arm pacers' ability to keep batters quiet during the final stages of the innings has impressed many fans and former cricketers. 

Former India cricketer Irfan Pathan praised Arshdeep Singh for performing the way that he is. “Arshdeep is a special player. He is young, confident and accurate. All these qualities distinguish him from the bowlers of his age,” said Irfan Pathan on Star Sports. 

"He's keeping big players like MS Dhoni, Hardik Pandya or someone else silent in the death overs and that speaks volumes about the kind of talent he possesses."

The former India cricketer feels that he could be the next big thing for the Punjab Kings in the years to come. 

"His growth has been phenomenal. Despite the presence of a proven international pacer in Kagiso Rabada, an uncapped Indian seamer is getting the recognition proves how good a talent he is. He's going to be the next big thing for Punjab Kings," he said.
