Securing one's first Test wicket is a momentous achievement for any young cricketer. Such was the case in the Test between Pakistan and Bangladesh, where Saim Ayub celebrated this milestone by dismissing the seasoned Shakib Al Hasan to have a memorable beginning to his bowling career.

‌Overnight batters Shadman Islam and Zakir Hasan started Day 3 prudently aiming for a lead. But Zakir was dismissed by Naseem Shah in the 17th over giving a jolt to the top order. Najmul Hossain Shanto then fell to Khurram Shahzad in the 27th over, leaving Bangladesh at 53/2. Despite this, Shadman and Mominul Haque formed an 81-run partnership, reaching 134/2 by Lunch, but Shadman was eventually dismissed for 93, leaving Bangladesh at 199/4 at Tea. Post Tea, the spin magic of Saim Ayub was seen when he cleanly took the wicket of Shakib Al Hasan and got his maiden Test wicket. 

On the fourth ball of the 73rd over, Saim Ayub delivered a length ball expertly pitched wide outside off stump. The southpaw was lured by the wide delivery as he stepped forward aggressively to drive. However, he misjudged it and struck the ball off the bottom of his bat. The mishit led to an easy catch for Shan Masood who was stationed at cover. As the ball lodged in Masood's hands, Ayub burst into laughter and was overwhelmed with the thrill of claiming his first Test wicket. The scene quickly ignited a wave of excitement across Twitter, celebrating Ayub’s memorable debut moment.
