Sometimes, a batter known for their exceptional batting skills and solid defensive technique can unexpectedly shine with the ball. With just four days to go for the highly anticipated Border-Gavaskar Trophy clash Down Under, Marnus Labuschagne grabbed headlines by bowling to Pat Cummins in the nets.

‌The cricketing world is gearing up for an electrifying Australian summer as India prepares to take on Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Both teams have been intensively training in Perth, with India engaging in simulation drills and the hosts honing their skills with a full squad practice.

Amid Australia’s preparations, a light-hearted yet impressive moment stole the spotlight. Marnus Labuschagne, known for his batting skills, surprised everyone during a net session by taking a long run-up and delivering a fiery bouncer to skipper Pat Cummins, who was practising his batting. The delivery was so precise and quick that Cummins had to duck sharply to avoid it. The 30-year-old, typically recognized for his leg spin, has recently been refining his seam bowling, even showcasing it in the Sheffield Shield. While the video of his bouncer went viral on social media, only time will tell if Cummins sees potential in Labuschagne’s bowling to deploy him in the first Test against India, starting Friday.

Oh, Marnus! What a delivery!
