Winning the toss and electing to field first, Punjab Kings extracted three crucial scalps inside the 39-run powerplay before forties from Nicholas Pooran and Ayush Badoni stabilised the stage for a 171-run total. In reply, the ploy to bring mystery spinner Digvesh Rathi paid dividends for Rishabh Pant and co. as the spinner dismissed Arya and gave him a fierce send-off.
On the fifth ball of the third over, Rathi bowled on back of a length outside the stumps that Arya intended to swot across the line. He got a top edge in the way, and the ball came down near mid-off where Shardul Thakur settled for the catch. Subsequently, Digvesh, who is a teammate of Arya for the State side, hurled towards him and gestured a notebook and writing his name off - similar to what Williams did to Virat Kohli in the past. The Twitterverse saw this and buzzed around it.

Aggression
Digvesh Singh celebrated Priyansh Arya wicket aggressively, and the umpire is warning him, man. Game has gone soft, ffs... Both of them play for the same state.

Definetly
Digvesh is definitely getting banned.
— WTF Cricket (@CricketWtf)
He shouldn't but unfortunately he will, we need more of these kinda celebrations in the IPL
Surely
The match referee is surely gonna have a meeting with Digvesh. Totally silly and uncalled for send-off after picking up the wicket of Arya. Digvesh - Jawaani Ka Josh, Kho Gaya Apna Hosh.

Yup
Someone in LSG should advise Digvesh to stop doing that Notebook/diary celebration, it usually doesn't end well for Bowlers who do that celebration.

Still remember Kesrick Williams being completely owned by Chadwick Walton and Kohli in CPL and T20Is respectively.
