The importance of patience and the waiting game are seldom discussed in cricketing conversations. However, Jomel Warrican of West Indies proved how crucial it is to wait for your time and throw an assault at the opposition as he gave a taste of his own medicine to Sajid Khan on Monday.

Eyeing to withstand the Windies attack on a worn-down Multan track on the third day of the Test, Pakistan's middle order faltered. Despite getting starts, none of the home batters could negate Jomel Warrican and co. as the St. Vincentiann wreaked havoc in the opposition order, extracting wickets regularly. In a similar pattern, tailender Sajid fell prey to him and tasted his own medicine.

Pakistan was nine down when Warrican continued to bowl from the same end in the 44th over. On its last ball, the left-arm spinner came around the wicket and bowled a length delivery into the stumps with a round arm angle. Sajid was leg-side of the ball and tried to late dab at it. However, the right-hander got an under edge onto the stumps, helping the bowler claim yet another five-wicket haul in the series.

Subsequently, Warrican went up to dejected Sajid and replicated John Cena’s infamous “You can’t see me” gimmick before mimicking Sajid’s kabaddi celebration. All Sajid could do was smile at him and trudge off the field as West Indies won a Test in Pakistan after 34 years, prompting the Twitterverse into guffaws.
