Tushar Raheja stars in the final as IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans (ITT) win their maiden Tamil Nadu Premier League title after defeating defending champions Dindigul Dragons (DD) in the final. The young keeper-batter finished as the leading run-getter and was adjudged the player of the tournament.

‌It was a final that marked the battle between two of the best finger spinners of Tamil Nadu, with Ravichandran Ashwin leading the Dragons and Sai Kishore leading the Tamizhans. It was Ashwin who won the toss and chose to field first. However, things did not start well for the Dindigul franchise as openers Tushar Raheja and Amit Sathvik set the tone straight away for Tiruppur.
Raheja was the top run-getter with 77 off 46 for the Tamizhans as he brought up his fifth half-century of the tournament and was supported well by his opening partner Sathvik, who also played an incredible knock of 65 off 34 deliveries. They were supported well with cameos from Mohamed Ali (23 off 14), Uthirasamy Sasidev (20 off 11), and V Anovankar (25 off 12)* who made sure the team reached a massive total of 220-5 at the end. None of the Dindigul bowlers looked threatening at all in the first innings.
The nightmare for the defending champions did not end there, as they were also dominated by the Tamizhan’s bowlers as well, who bowled the team out for a paltry score of 103 and lost the game by 118 runs in the end. None of the batters reached the 30-run mark as the Sai Kishore-led side kept breaks on the scoring to win their maiden TNPL title in the end.
Raheja was not only the hero of the match but the entire tournament for the Tamizhans. He was adjudged the player of the series and finished as the leading run-scorer in the series, scoring 488 runs at an average of 61, and maintaining a phenomenal strike rate of 185.55 throughout the tournament.
