Left-arm spinner Sai Kishore has impressive bowling records for his home state team, Tamil Nadu, in First-Class cricket since his debut eight years back in 2017. He was also the second leading wicket-taker for his IPL franchise, Gujarat Titans, in the Indian Premier League 2025 earlier this year.

In a recent piece of news, Surrey has brought the Indian left-arm spinner R Sai Kishore in their squad for a short county stint in two games of the ongoing County Championship Division One. He will be in action for Surrey later this month. He will feature in his first county game against his former CSK teammate Ruturaj Gaikwad, who will be playing for Yorkshire.

His second and last county game for Surrey will be against Durham in Chester-le-Street; the game will commence on July 29. Sai Kishore also expressed his excitement ahead of joining Surrey for the prestigious English Cricket Championship.

“I'm really excited to be joining Surrey for the next two County Championship matches. Surrey are one of the most prestigious clubs in the world, and I have heard great things about the set-up from lots of different people in the game,” said Sai Kishore in a statement after signing with Surrey.

In his impressive First-Class career for Tamil Nadu in the Indian domestic cricket, the 28-year-old has played 46 games, scalping 192 wickets in 83 innings, with 10 four-wicket hauls and 12 five-wicket hauls, alongside a 10-wicket haul in a game. It also includes his best performance of ‘7 wickets at just 70 runs in an innings’ and ’10 wickets at just 98 runs in a game.’

Besides that, he also scalped 19 wickets in 15 innings for Gujarat Titans in IPL 2025, ending up as the second leading wicket-taker for his side. It also included his best performance of ‘3 wickets at 30 runs in a game.’ He was one of the top performers with the ball for his side in the tournament’s 18th edition.
