The first game of the tri-series between Zimbabwe and South Africa started with the Proteas bowlers creating problems for the Chevrons at the Harare Sports Club, conceding only 34 runs in the first six overs of the match. Right-arm quick Lungi Ngidi also managed to scalp Wessly Madhevere in the process for a score of just one run but more than his nine-ball horror stay, it was the way Madhevere was dismissed that got everyone scratching their heads.
Ngidi had already caused problems for the 24-year-old all-rounder in his frugal spell. In the five balls Madhevere had faced from the South African pacer, he had beaten him several times before his dismissal, which was probably one of the most embarrassing ways to get dismissed for any batter in international cricket. All it took was a back-of-the-length skiddy delivery on which he backed away very deep in his crease, only to find his backfoot crashing into the stumps.
That was so bad!
Pathetic effort from Wesley Madhevere. Why do you keep selecting this pathetic player.

1 off 9 balls. Is this a Test match 🚮🚮
Damn!
Another one bites the dust. Madande gone 8 runs off 15 balls

Hahaha!
This is really sad they should let him rest a bit, his dismissal is school boy but l am really angered about the 9 balls of power play he wasted and the maiden over they gave Ngidi

Looks very sad!
Very suspicious as well

LOL!
When will ZC accept that Wesley Madhevere is a failed project? Bro has reduced himself to a pitch assessor, he gets in there to face 3 or 4 deliveries then goes back to the dugout with a pitch report. THE FLASH

Their fav!
Why do they keep on selecting Wesley Madhevere?
