IPL 2025 is set to resume on May 17 with the Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s home game against Kolkata Knight Riders. The remaining matches of the tournament, initially suspended due to cross-border tensions between India and Pakistan, will be held in six cities with the final scheduled on June 3.

‌The Indian Premier League 2025 is scheduled to restart on May 17, with the Royal Challengers Bengaluru taking on Kolkata Knight Riders at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Saturday. The remaining 17 matches of the tournament, including the Punjab Kings vs Delhi Capitals game that was abandoned halfway through the first innings on Thursday, will be held in six cities with the final to be played on June 3.
With Mumbai, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Bangalore and Lucknow being chosen as venues for the remaining matches, Chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad and PBKS will have to contend playing their remaining home games at neutral venues. However, the venues for the playoffs, including the final, are yet to be announced by the governing council.
There will be two double headers played May 18 and 25, both Sundays, with the day match starting at 3:30 PM IST and the second game to kick off at 7:30 PM. Rajasthan Royals will play PBKS in Jaipur in the first match while Delhi Capitals will host Gujarat Titans in the second game on May 18. Meanwhile, GT will be up against CSK at Ahmedabad in the day game with KKR taking on SRH at Delhi in the second game on May 25.
The last group game of the season will have Lucknow Super Giants playing RCB at home on Tuesday, May 27, with the playoffs starting after a day’s break. The first Qualifier will be played on Thursday, May 29 followed by the Eliminator the next day. The second Qualifier and the Final are slated for June 1st and June 3rd, respectively.
