ENG Lions vs IND-A | Twitter in awe as Anshul Kamboj hits top-of-off to send back Ben McKinney with a beauty

There is no better sight in the game of cricket than to see a fast bowler going through the defences of a batter to rattle the stumps. India A’s Anshul Kamboj made it more special as he beat England Lions opener Ben McKinney with a peach that hit the top-of-off during the first unofficial Test.

‌India A had an excellent start to their tour of England racking up a massive 557 before getting all out in the post-lunch session on day two at the St Lawrence Ground in Canterbury. Karun Nair, who remained unbeaten on 186 after the first end, went on to complete his double-century pushing his case for an inclusion in India’s starting XI in the first Test against England starting on June 20.

With Dhruv Jurel (94) and Sarfaraz Khan (92) also chipping in with valuable half-centuries India A moved to a position of strength with a huge first-innings total. But England Lions also got off to a promising start notching up 22 runs within five overs despite pacer Anshul Kamboj starting accurately and conceding just two runs in his first two overs.

The Haryana pacer continued knocking on the doors for an elusive dismissal and he barged open the defences of Lions’ opener Ben McKinney in style to provide India A their first wicket of the day. Bowling his third over, Kamboj came up with a beauty that pitched short of a length on leg stump before swinging away to beat McKinney’s outside edge.

The Lions’ opener was shocked to see the ball miss his defensive shot as Twitter was in awe with the pacer’s accuracy and control.
