Harry Kane is set to break his trophy drought as Bayern Munich leads the Bundesliga with 72 points, eight ahead of Leverkusen. Kane has 24 goals this season and 60 goals in his first 60 Bundesliga matches, surpassing Erling Haaland record. Bayern can clinch the title with just four more points.

For the team sitting atop the Bundesliga, Bayern Munich’s dominant 4-0 victory over Heidenheim in the 30th round has all but sealed the league title. Now with 72 points, they lead Bayer Leverkusen by 8 points, who drew 1-1 with St. Pauli. With only four matches remaining, Bayern need just four more points to confirm their championship and could clinch it as early as May 3 if they beat Mainz on April 26.

This potential title win holds extra significance for Harry Kane, who joined Bayern in 2023 seeking silverware after years of near-misses at Tottenham. Despite going trophy-less in his debut season due to Leverkusen’s unbeaten run, Kane has silenced critics in 2024-25 with 24 league goals — six more than second-placed Patrik Schick — and leads the Golden Boot race.

Remarkably, Kane has netted 60 goals and added 15 assists in just 60 Bundesliga matches, averaging a goal every 72 minutes. This milestone eclipses Erling Haaland’s record for reaching 60 goals in the fewest games in Bundesliga history by five matches. As Kane nears his long-awaited first major trophy, Tottenham has suffered in his absence, plummeting to 16th in the Premier League while captain Son Heung-min battles injuries.
