In the English Premier League, Arsenal demolished Manchester City 5-1 at Emirates Stadium, reducing the gap to league leaders Liverpool to six points. Martin Odegaard struck in the second minute, but Erling Haaland equalized in the 55th. Arsenal responded immediately as Thomas Partey’s deflected shot restored their lead.

Arsenal’s unbeaten league run extended to 14 games, reaffirming their title ambitions. City, however, suffered their first defeat in seven matches. Post-match, John Stones acknowledged City’s struggles, while Arsenal’s Havertz and Odegaard praised their team’s pressing and chemistry. This dominant victory strengthens Arsenal’s position as a serious title contender.
