Napoli striker Victor Osimhen is close to a £64m permanent transfer, with Galatasaray leading the race after his stellar 37-goal loan season. As the summer transfer window progresses, Napoli are nearing a final decision on Victor Osimhen’s future, with a £64million deal potentially on the table. Chelsea had shown strong interest in the Nigerian striker last year, but talks fell apart and Osimhen was loaned out to Galatasaray. The 26-year-old flourished in Turkey, scoring an impressive 37 goals across all competitions and quickly becoming a fan favourite.

Despite persistent interest from Saudi Arabian clubs like Al Ahli and Al Hilal, Osimhen has remained unconvinced about moving to the Middle East. Premier League clubs, including Chelsea, are now struggling to meet his high wage demands, which have made Galatasaray the frontrunners to sign him permanently. Napoli are reportedly keen to sell and could fetch as much as £64million from the transfer.

A permanent move to Istanbul would mark a major win for Galatasaray, especially as Chelsea shift focus to other striker options. They have already signed Liam Delap and Joao Pedro, the latter making an immediate impact by scoring twice in the Club World Cup semi-final against Fluminense. With the tournament adding urgency to Chelsea's transfer strategy, Osimhen’s saga looks set to conclude soon, just not in west London.
