Manchester United are closing in on signing Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo after a £60 million offer and the 25-year-old winger scored 20 goals and provided 8 assists in 38 Premier League games last season. Despite Tottenham’s interest, Mbeumo has reportedly made up his mind to join United, with a deal likely finalised by month-end.

After being the subject of transfer speculation, Brentford winger Bryan Mbeumo appears to have made his decision and it strongly favours Manchester United. Reports indicate that United’s improved £60 million bid has brought them closer to securing the Cameroon international, who is also being monitored by Tottenham. However, Mbeumo has reportedly made it clear that his heart is set on a move to Old Trafford.

The 25-year-old had a stellar 2024–25 Premier League season, scoring 20 goals and providing 8 assists across 38 appearances and he also registered 41 shots on target, completed 52 successful dribbles, and delivered 49 accurate crosses, making him one of the most productive wingers in the league and United’s confidence in sealing the deal is growing rapidly.

Sources close to the club say the move could be finalised by the end of the month. Rio Ferdinand has also confirmed through his YouTube channel that Mbeumo is eager to join Manchester United, emphasizing his consistency and Premier League experience. Despite Brentford’s initial rejection, United’s persistence, along with Mbeumo’s desire has pushed the transfer closer to completion. With Matheus Cunha already signed, Mbeumo looks set to become United’s next major summer acquisition.
