Santos is close to renewing Neymar's contract, which ends on June 30. Club president Marcelo Teixeira will meet Neymar’s father to finalize a performance-based one-year deal. A response is expected by Tuesday, with a formal agreement planned before Friday's training. Santos also agreed to repay €13 million in installments by December 2026.

When the calendar ticks toward June 30, Neymar’s current contract with Santos is set to expire, but the club is working swiftly to ensure his stay continues. President Marcelo Teixeira is expected to meet Neymar's father for a decisive discussion about a proposed new one-year deal and the agreement, which could be finalized as early as Thursday, would offer Neymar performance-based wages instead of a fixed salary.

This proposed contract also addresses the €13 million still owed to Neymar, with plans to repay the amount in installments by December 2026. Santos aims to have the deal completed before the squad resumes training on Friday. Neymar’s father will first present the offer to his son, and the final approval is expected shortly after.

The renewed interest in retaining Neymar shows Santos’ intent to reinforce their squad with top-level talent. This deal comes at a critical juncture for the Brazilian club, which has long relied on Neymar’s global profile and on-field brilliance and while fans await confirmation, both sides appear committed to making the extension happen, suggesting Neymar’s celebrated return to Santos might continue for at least another season.
