Arsenal’s 18-year-old talent Myles Lewis-Skelly signed a new contract until 2030, reportedly becoming one of the best-paid teenagers globally. While announcing the deal, he subtly mocked Erling Haaland with the phrase, referencing their past clash. Lewis-Skelly aims to build a legacy and win trophies while staying grounded.

Ahead of the 2025–26 season, Arsenal's rising star Myles Lewis-Skelly has signed a new long-term contract with the club, extending his stay until 2030. The 18-year-old midfielder, who broke into Arsenal’s first team last season, is now reportedly among the highest-paid teenagers in world football and his extension comes amid interest from Real Madrid, but Arsenal have secured his future, strengthening their core of homegrown talent.

During his Premier League debut against Manchester City last September, Lewis-Skelly clashed with Erling Haaland in a heated 2–2 draw and after being brushed off by Haaland, who had previously told Mikel Arteta to “stay humble,” Lewis-Skelly responded months later with a goal in Arsenal’s 5–1 win over City, mocking Haaland’s iconic celebration and captioning it “Keep it humble.”

In his contract announcement, Lewis-Skelly emphasised his dedication to staying grounded, saying, “If I can keep staying humble and being a good person, that's the most important thing to me.” The England international, a product of Arsenal’s Hale End academy, also expressed his ambition to build a legacy by winning major trophies and remaining a lifelong learner. With Arsenal finishing second for the third straight year, Lewis-Skelly’s development symbolises hope for future success.
