Despite dominating possession and creating nearly 30 chances, Juventus struggled to score, with Verona goalkeeper Lorenzo Montipo making several crucial saves.

Khephren Thuram finally broke the deadlock in the 72nd minute, converting from around the penalty spot. Teun Koopmeiners sealed the win in the 90th minute with a low shot from a tight angle.
