Real Madrid have secured two summer signings, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Dean Huijsen, and are close to signing left-back Alvaro Carreras. Manager Xabi Alonso is also considering bringing back Nico Paz from Como, using a €9m buyback option. Real Madrid aims to finalize these deals before the Club World Cup in the United States.

For the upcoming summer transfer window, Real Madrid have already secured two key signings as part of their defensive reinforcement plans, with a third deal reportedly close to completion. The club has confirmed the arrivals of Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold and Bournemouth central defender Dean Huijsen, with the latter announced recently. In addition, Real Madrid is close to finalizing the signing of left-back Alvaro Carreras, which would mark their fourth reinforcement before the Club World Cup trip to the United States.

Under new manager Xabi Alonso, Real Madrid are also targeting midfield additions. Alonso is keen on bringing in a new midfielder to strengthen the engine room, possibly adding another playmaker to the squad. Among potential midfield targets is Nico Paz, an Argentina international who has flourished since his €6 million move to Como last summer. Real Madrid holds a €9 million buyback option for Paz and may exercise it before the Club World Cup.

However, with Turkish midfielder Arda Guler expected to stay, it could be challenging to balance playing time between Paz and Guler, who occupy similar roles. Currently, Real Madrid sit second in La Liga, just four points behind leaders Barcelona with one match remaining, underscoring their ambition for a strong finish to the season.
