Golf round-up | Shubhankar Sharma finishes Tied-34th in Scotland; Anirban Lahiri ends Tied-47th

India’s Shubhankar Sharma shot a score of 67 in the final round of Scottish Open to finish Tied-34th on Monday. Meanwhile, veteran golfer Anirban Lahiri carded a three-under 68, which was his third straight round in the 60s, to finish Tied-47th at the John Deere Classic over the weekend.

Indian golfer Shubhankar Sharma scored a 67 in the final round of the recently-concluded  Aberdeen Standard Investments Scottish Open to end the tournament Tied-34 alongside the likes of Rory McIlroy and defending champion - Brandon Stone. Bernd Wiesberger, who started the final day with a handy two-shot lead, registered his second European Tour title of the year.

Meanwhile, premier Indian golfer Anirban Lahiri carded a three-under 68, his third straight round in the 60s, to finish Tied-47th at the John Deere Classic on Monday. The veteran Indian golfer had a topsy-turvy round with seven birdies against four bogeys. Lahiri has not qualified for The Open next week and is skipping the Barbasol Championships and will return for the Wyndham Championships.

Amongst the Indian women, Aditi Ashok carded a modest one-under 70 in the final round to finish tied 59th at the Marathon Classic golf tournament. She had a great start in the first round this week with four-under 67 and finished with a total of two-under 284 on Sunday.
