SA vs NZ | Twitteratti goes crazy as Robinson's six hits the roof of Harare Sports Club

SportsCafe Desk

A six is always an event in the game of T20 cricket, where the batters, to clear the boundary ropes, need the right balance between power and timing. New Zealand top-order batter Tim Robinson executed an incredible six, where the ball found its way on the Harare Sports Club roof.

‌The New Zealand team did not have the best of starts in the T20I tri-series against South Africa, where they lost half their side in the game. Though the Kiwis initially started well with Tim Seifert playing his shots at the start before being dismissed for 22. The only batter who was looking calm and composed at the crease was Tim Robinson, who was playing a steady knock despite running out of partners in the middle. While the Kiwis lost half their side, Robinson kept the innings afloat during torrid times, playing some attractive shots to give the Black Caps camp something to cheer.
One of the shots came in the seventh over, where the 23-year-old stepped out of his crease to a flighted delivery by George Linde and sent the ball straight over his head. This was a well-executed shot by the young batter as he sent the ball onto the roof of the Stadium. This was the first six of the New Zealand innings in which the runs were hard to come by due to the disciplined line and lengths by the South African bowlers.
