However, Forest were reportedly upset as Tottenham did not receive formal permission to speak with the player, leading to the deal being paused.
Despite the uncertainty, Gibbs-White has remained fully professional. He featured in Forest’s pre-season friendly against Monaco, which ended in a goalless draw, and continues to train and stay match-fit. His teammate Ola Aina, speaking to Sky Sports, confirmed the midfielder is handling the situation with maturity, stating, “He’s keeping it professional... we’ve got a job to do and that’s what Morgan is doing right now.”
