Former Indian women's cricketer and a member of Committee of Administrators (CoA) Diana Edulji has written to the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) for seeking complimentary passes for the third T20I between Inda and West Indies at Mumbai. Edulji also claimed that she used to get the passes before.

Diana Edulji wrote to the MCA for seeking complimentary passes for the game between India and West Indies at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on December 11. Edulji claimed that earlier she used to get the passes delivered at her residence but that has not been the case anymore since the Apex Council-elected Committee of Administrators has been dissolved.

“I, Diana Edulji, former India women's cricket captain, used to get two complimentary president box passes since the inception right up to the last IPL. Mr (Sharad) Pawar and Mr (Ashish) Shelar used to send the passes to my residence,” Edulji wrote to MCA President Vijay Patil.

“You can check the records of all previous matches where you will find my name along with Sachin (Tendulkar), (Sunil) Gavaskar, Nari Contractor, (Dilip) Vengsarkar and late Shri (Ajit) Wadekar," she further mentioned.

Edulji has requested the MCA President to look into the matter and provide her with the passes because she feels it is her right being a former Indian skipper.

"I am the only women’s team captain from Mumbai, thus was included. During the regime of Mr. Ravi Sawant and the CoA MCA I used to be given two passes for bilateral and IPL," Edulji wrote in the mail. "I request you as President of MCA, please instruct that my name is restored and I am able to get my passes," the 63-year-old wrote.

Meanwhile, another BCCI official said that Edulji did not ask for the passes from MCA secretary Sanjay Naik or joint secretary Shahalm Shaikh. Other MCA officials have got their share of tickets and have distributed the same to their member clubs.

India and West Indies are tied at 1-1 with the series decider in Mumbai set to be a humdinger as Wankhede Stadium is a small ground with the pitch offering good pace and bounce for stroke-making and generally, it witnesses high-scoring games.
