Mumbai Indians rode on the back of a blistering Ryan Rickelton half-century to register a riveting start against Lucknow Super Giants at the Wankhede on Sunday, before Suryakumar Yadav took over aggressor duties in the second half of the innings. The Indian T20 skipper was at his riveting best as he spanked shots all-around the park to establish his dominance, and none bore the brunt more than Ravi Bishnoi.

The leg-spinner had already been hit for a maximum in the 11th over -- the veteran's first against Bishnoi in T20s -- but it was just the trailer to what awaited him in his next over. SKY began the onslaught with a gorgeous smack over midwicket for a maximum, and then added salt to injury with a routine slap on one knee towards the deep square leg region for four. Bishnoi, a key member of the national team in recent times -- was clealry under the pump against the Indian skipper, but came up with a beautful riposte to outdo SKY all-hands up. The 34-year-old could only sheepishly poke his bat forward as a ball dipped on him and then turned viciously off the deck, only for the outside edge to go past the catchers and on the way to the fence.

SKY realized that luck had helped him survive a jaffa and in order to provide some confidence to the young spinner, he put an arm around Bishnoi before givimg him a peck on the cheek through his helmet grill. Twitterati was thoroughly amused.
