LSG vs SRH | Twitter fumes as Abdul Samad leaves Nicholas Pooran red-faced after denying a second run in the final over

It is frustrating when batters don’t get strike while in great nick and matters turn worse when they get out desperately going for a non-existent single. Nicholas Pooran was red-faced when Abdul Samad sent him back while going for a double and then got out the next ball trying to steal a single.

‌Lucknow Super Giants, in their bid to keep their IPL 2025 playoff hopes alive, got off to a rollicking start after being put in to bat. Openers Mitchell Marsh and Aiden Markram hit half-centuries and put on 115 for the first wicket in just 63 balls to lay the perfect foundation against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow on Monday.

But the SRH bowlers came abc strongly conceding just 38 runs from overs 10 to 15 with LSG pinning its hopes on Nicholas Pooran who was looking in good touch after a string of bad outings. Looking to take LSG past the 200-run mark in the last over, Pooran started off in style smashing Nitish Kumar Reddy for a six off the first ball.

He played the next ball towards mid-wicket and instantly called for two. Though he slipped at the bowler’s end, Pooran was always going for the second. But Samad sent him back after completing the first run, which did not impress Pooran.

And wanting to strike desperately, he started off the very next ball after Samad could not make contact. But Ishan Kishan was right on target as Pooran was well short of the crease and had to walk back after making 45 off 26 balls.

Twitter was not at all impressed by Samad’s action to deny the second and even Pooran made his displeasure clear giving the Jammu and Kashmir batter an earful while leaving the field.

Absolute drama!

Hahaha!

Yeah!

How?

NKR for you!

He just destroyed his own team!

LOL!

Magic!

He is having bad day!
