United Arab Emirates chase a rare series win against Bangladesh as they step out for the third T20I at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Wednesday. The three-match series is tied 1-1 with Bangladesh winning the first T20I by 27 runs and the host pulling things back with a two-wicket win in the next.

‌Bangladesh will meet host United Arab Emirates in the third and final T20I at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Friday. With the three-match series tied 1-1, an exciting contest is on the cards where the winner will walk away with the honours. 

Bangladesh started the series with a 27-run win before the host drew level with a thrilling two-wicket victory in a high-scoring game. Parvez Hossain Emon, who scored a century in the first game, is the visitors’ top run-getter in the series while UAE skipper Muhammad Waseem has led from the front with half-centuries in both outings so far and leads the overall run charts.

On the bowling front, left-arm pacer Muhammad Jawadullah has had a breakthrough series for the hosts with seven wickets from two matches with an astonishing average of 9.42 and a strike rate of 6.85. For Bangladesh, the pace duo of Hasan Mahmud and Tanzim Hasan Sakib have picked up three wickets apiece and are second and third behind Jawadullah in the wicket charts.

The Sharjah Cricket Stadium with its surface and dimensions will continue to produce high-scoring encounters. The surface will aid shot-making with batters getting full value for their shots courtesy of the quick outfield. Three of the last four innings played here have seen scores beyond 190 and the final T20I will be no exception either. Teams will prefer batting first at this venue with four of the last five matches being won by teams batting first.

The forecast at the venue for tomorrow looks warm with temperatures rising to 40 degrees during the day before coming to 28 degrees during night. With no rain predictions throughout the evening, the fans will get a cracker of a contest and will come out in numbers to support their side.

UAE are expected to play the same eleven as in the second T20I while Bangladesh will be eager to bring back Mustafizur Rahman in place of Tanzim Hasan Sakib who was expensive in the second T20I giving away 55 runs in 3.5 overs.
