As the transfer window heats up, Marcus Rashford’s potential move to Barcelona has taken a fresh turn. The 27-year-old forward, who returned to Manchester United after a loan spell at Aston Villa, is reportedly no longer in manager Ruben Amorim’s plans and has been training alone at Carrington. Rashford’s loan ended on June 30, and Villa opted not to make the deal permanent.

Despite interest from Saudi clubs and a possible reunion with Jose Mourinho at Fenerbahce, Rashford is reportedly holding out for a dream move to Camp Nou. Barcelona sporting director Deco, however, is hesitant due to Rashford’s hefty wage demands and the club’s financial constraints. Although United are asking around £40 million for the England international, the deal’s high salary component is stalling progress.

Rashford has scored 138 goals and provided 77 assists in 426 appearances for United and remains under contract until 2028. If Barcelona withdraw from the race, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain are ready to pounce, both closely monitoring the situation. Meanwhile, Barcelona could shift their focus to AC Milan’s Rafael Leao. As speculation builds, Rashford’s future remains uncertain, but one thing is clear, several European giants are lining up for his signature.
