The 2025/26 Premier League season has officially started, with Leeds United, Burnley, and Sunderland promoted. Relegated clubs Leicester City, Ipswich Town, and Southampton have returned their Premier League shares. Fixtures for all 20 clubs will be revealed on 18 June, with the season kicking off on 16 August. Pre-season matches begin in July.

With the official start of the 2025/26 Premier League season on June 4, 2025, the league has welcomed three newly promoted clubs: Leeds United, Burnley, and Sunderland. These teams joined the top flight after successful campaigns in the EFL Championship, replacing Leicester City, Ipswich Town, and Southampton, who were relegated. The relegated clubs have returned their Premier League share certificates, which have been cancelled by the Premier League Board. The three promoted clubs have been formally registered as Premier League members with new share certificates issued and signed.

The Premier League table has been reset for the new season, with the 20 clubs listed alphabetically. The official fixture list will be released at 9:00 BST on June 18, 2025, with the season set to kick off on August 16, 2025. Ahead of the competitive matches, fans can look forward to pre-season friendlies, including the Summer Series in the United States from July 26 to August 3. Clubs like AFC Bournemouth, Everton, Manchester United, and West Ham will participate in six matches across three US venues.

This transition marks a fresh chapter for the Premier League as it continues to grow its global presence, with official partners such as Barclays, Coca-Cola, Guinness, and Puma supporting the competition. The season promises exciting football action, with new teams eager to prove themselves at the highest level.
