On July 26, Louisville’s Lynn Family Stadium will host Premier League’s Aston Villa and Bundesliga’s Eintracht Frankfurt in a major international friendly. Villa recently secured sixth in the EPL, while Frankfurt finished third in the Bundesliga. This event, organized by Soccer Holdings, highlights Louisville’s rise as a global soccer destination.

For the first time ever, Louisville is set to host a Premier League giant, as Aston Villa prepares to face Bundesliga powerhouse Eintracht Frankfurt in a highly anticipated friendly on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Lynn Family Stadium and the match marks a major milestone for the city’s football journey and is expected to draw passionate crowds both locally and from abroad.

Aston Villa arrives in Kentucky after an impressive 2024–25 campaign, finishing sixth in the Premier League and qualifying for the UEFA Champions League and their opponents, Eintracht Frankfurt, also had a strong season, securing third place in the Bundesliga and maintaining their European pedigree. The clash promises high-quality action and international prestige. Organized by Soccer Holdings, LLC — which operates Louisville City FC and Racing Louisville FC — the event is part of a broader effort to elevate Louisville's soccer profile.

Ticket sales are now open, with a 25 percent discount available to season ticket holders of the local clubs. Adding more excitement, Louisville City will also host Spanish side Leganés on July 12 and play Frankfurt again on July 29. These matchups further solidify Louisville’s reputation as an emerging hub for global football action in the United States.
