Despite transfer speculation linking Erling Haaland with Real Madrid and Barcelona, his father confirmed the striker is happy and focused at Manchester City. After a trophyless 2024-25 season, Haaland eyes Club World Cup success. City face Juventus on June 26 in their final group stage clash at Camping World Stadium, Florida.

In the aftermath of a disappointing 2024-25 season where Manchester City finished third in the Premier League and failed to secure any major trophies, speculation has grown around the future of key players, including Erling Haaland. Despite signing a contract extension in January that ties him to the club until 2034, the Norwegian striker’s recent comments calling last season “boring and not fun” sparked rumours of a possible exit. Both Real Madrid and Barcelona have shown interest, with Barcelona president Joan Laporta suggesting “nothing is impossible” regarding Haaland’s potential transfer.

However, Haaland’s father has addressed these speculations, stating that his son is “very happy” at Manchester City. In an interview with Marca, he emphasized that Haaland is fully focused on the Club World Cup, where City are considered favourites and according to him, the 24-year-old is enjoying his time at the club and is determined to help them succeed in the tournament.

Manchester City, having already made four summer signings to bolster their squad, are set to face Juventus in their final group-stage game of the Club World Cup on June 26 at Camping World Stadium, Florida. The club remains focused on returning to top form in the ongoing and upcoming seasons.
