Manchester Utd Set to Offload Jadon Sancho Amid Transfer Woes

After the conclusion of the 2024–25 season, Manchester United have decided to part ways with Jadon Sancho, who originally joined the club for €85 million. Despite a loan spell at Chelsea, where he underperformed, the Blues are ready to pay €6 million just to send him back to Old Trafford. Chelsea hold an obligation to buy Sancho for €30 million but may opt to pay a €5 million penalty instead. United, now under manager Ruben Amorim, are planning for the future without the 25-year-old winger, whose wages and inconsistent performances have become a burden.

United are keen to offload Sancho during the summer transfer window, with insider Ben Jacobs confirming the club’s intention to sell him regardless of Chelsea’s decision. His current Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) is €37.7 million, but United are prepared to accept a much lower offer—possibly below €30 million.

Though a top-tier move appears unlikely, Wolverhampton Wanderers have shown interest. The Red Devils are under pressure to sell in order to raise funds for squad reinforcements, and Sancho’s departure has already been accounted for in Amorim’s rebuild. United are bracing for a financial loss, but view this move as necessary to reset and strengthen the squad.
