New Zealand’s Central Districts and UAE’s Dubai Capitals will be facing off each other in the much-awaited tournament opener of the Global Super League 2025. The game will be played at the Providence Stadium in Guyana. Both teams will aim to start their GSL 2025 campaign on a winning note.

The Super Smash Champions Central Districts will take on the International League T20 winners, Dubai Capitals, in the inaugural game of the Global Super League 2025 (GSL 2025). Both teams are coming off an impressive run of form in their respective franchise tournaments. Central Districts have won three games, alongside an abandoned and a ‘no result’ game in their last five games, including the 6-wicket win against Canterbury in the Super Smash 2025 Final.

On the other hand, Dubai Capitals have also been enjoying an amazing run of form, winning four games while losing only one in their last five matches in the International League T20 2025. It also includes their 4-wicket win against the Desert Vipers in the tournament’s summit clash.
