Australia's Cameron Green could not believe his eyes after being outdone by a Jayden Seales ripper against the West Indies in Kingston

Every kid to ever pick up a cricket ball to bowl fast has inevitably dreamt about the elusive perfect delivery, and then done it everyday for the rest of their life. Jayden Seales is one of the rare few that managed to make it, and on Sunday he came as close to bowling the perfect ball as possible.

Australia suffered a horrid collapse under lights in their first ever away day/night Test, against the West Indies at Sabrina Park, as they lost their lsat seven wickets for 68 runs to be bowled out for 225 on Day 1. Shamar Joseph was once again the wrecker-in-chief with four scalps while fellow pacers Jayden Seales and Justin Greaves walked home with three each. This formidable attack was on top of the visitors for pretty much the entirety of their 70.3 oves, bar a third wicket stand between Steve Smith and Cameron Green worth over 60. When the duo was at the crease, a 300-plus total looked viable, and it took something special to bring the house crashing down.

Seales had the pink Dukes in hand for one final burst before Lunch and on the final ball of the 49th over, he had in his sights Green. The number three had looked assured in his 100-plus balls stay, and was just four short of a half-century when he saw the ball pitch on length on off-stump. Green leaned forward to keep the threat out with a straightforward defence but the ball held its line angle after hitting the deck just enough to beat the willow's outside edge and precisely clatter into the top of off-stump, sending the bails flying. Green could not believe what he had just come up against as he watched the broken stumps in horror, before embarking on a long trudge back to the pavilion amidst ecstatic Windies celebrations.

The broadcast later showed that had the ball not deviated off the pitch, it would have hit the middle of Green's bat, emphasizing the sheer helplessness of the batter as well as the genius of Seales to deliver a ball that would be remembered for years to come.
