NEP vs NED T20 Tri-Series Preview | Nepal meets Netherlands again after epic super over battle in first duel

Nepal will face the Netherlands in the penultimate group game of the T20 Tri-Series 2025 at Titwood in Glasgow. The Netherlands are on top of the points table with back-to-back wins after their initial loss while Nepal is in third with a solitary win coming against host Scotland in the last match.
The Netherlands will be brimming with confidence after a clinical show against Scotland saw them win a high-scoring game by 17 runs on Wednesday. Michael Levitt was explosive at the top of the order with his 57-ball 90 setting the tone for a huge total batting first while the spin duo of Teja Nidamanuru and Reolof van der Merwe completed an all-round display with five wickets between them. Aryan Dutt and Daniel Doram, the other spinners in the Netherlands lineup, also chipped in with a wicket apiece.
Meanwhile, Nepal had a morale-boosting win after their super over heartbreak beating Scotland by two wickets in a low-scoring thriller. Leg-spinner Sandeep Lamichhane stole the limelight with an impressive spell of 4/11, including a maiden, in four overs to restrict the home team to a sub-par total before Kushal Bhurtel anchored the chase with a 35-ball 30.
Levitt also leads the batting charts in this tournament with an aggregate of 146 runs from three matches averaging 48.66 and striking at 141.74 with Bhurtel being the top run-getter for Nepal with a tally of 64 runs from two games. Meanwhile, Lamichhane is on the top of the wicket-takers list tallying seven scalps from just two matches with an astonishing average and strike rate of 4.14 and 6.85, respectively. Off-spinner Aryan Dutt and left-arm spinner Daniel Doram, with four wickets from two games, share the honours for most wickets by a Netherlands bowler.
