The 21-year-old Spanish international impressed under Hansi Flick last season, making 23 La Liga appearances, scoring once and assisting three times before a ligament injury in March disrupted his progress. Casadó also played eight matches in the Champions League’s league phase, helping Barcelona reach the knockout stages.
Despite being a favourite of Flick, the competition with Frenkie de Jong for midfield starts has limited Casadó's guaranteed spot, leading to transfer speculation.
