Arsenal Prepare New Bid for Gyokeres After Initial £55M Rejection

In the summer of 2025, Arsenal remain determined to strengthen their attack and are preparing a fresh offer for Swedish striker Viktor Gyokeres. Their initial £55 million bid was rejected by Sporting Lisbon, but manager Mikel Arteta is pushing for a deal to be finalised before Arsenal’s Asia tour, which kicks off on July 23 against AC Milan in Singapore. The 27-year-old Gyokeres, who impressed with Sporting in the 2024-25 season, remains a top priority despite the club’s interest in RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko.

Meanwhile, Arsenal’s transfer window has seen mixed results. They are nearing an agreement with AC Milan for the transfer of Oleksandr Zinchenko, who is likely to leave the Emirates this summer. However, their pursuit of French winger Bradley Barcola has suffered a setback, as the PSG player is now expected to stay in Paris, despite losing his place in the starting XI under Luis Enrique.
