Chelsea winger Raheem Sterling is reportedly in advanced talks to join Turkish club Beşiktaş this summer. As Chelsea aims to offload several high-earning players, Sterling's potential exit comes alongside names like Chilwell and Chukwuemeka. Beşiktaş sees Sterling as a marquee signing, though the credibility of the source remains uncertain at this stage.
When the 2025 summer transfer window opened, Chelsea once again found themselves needing to offload several players and Raheem Sterling was among the top names. After a mixed spell at the club, the winger has now been linked with a rather unexpected move to Turkish giants Beşiktaş. According to reports from Fichajes, talks are at an advanced stage as the Süper Lig side sees Sterling as a marquee signing capable of boosting both their profile and performance.
While the source isn’t considered the most reliable, the news adds to growing speculation about Chelsea's ongoing squad clear-out. Chelsea recently defeated ES Tunis 3-0 in the Club World Cup, resting regular starters like Marc Cucurella. Josh Acheampong started in his place as head coach Enzo Maresca rotated the lineup. The Blues only needed to avoid a loss to qualify for the knockout stages, which they did comfortably.
Besides Sterling, Chelsea are also reportedly looking to sell Ben Chilwell and Carney Chukwuemeka, both earning sizeable wages. With a bloated squad and the need to balance the books, several exits are expected in the coming weeks. Whether Sterling ends up in Turkey remains to be seen, but it reflects Chelsea’s urgency to restructure under Maresca’s leadership.
