SA vs NZ | Twiterrati goes insane as Chapman absurdly ends Hermann’s innings while lying down

The art of fielding is often a product of incredible athleticism and awareness, especially when it culminates in a dismissal. New Zealand batter Mark Chapman gave an example of the same against South Africa to run-out Rubin Hermann at the non-striker's end with his amazing reflexes.

‌South Africa was sent into bat in the fifth game of the Zimbabwe T20I tri-series against New Zealand. Though the Proteas tried something new by changing the opening pair in the game, the strategy did not lead to any rewards. Skipper Rassie van der Dussen, who batted at the top in place of Lhuan-dre Pretorius, was dismissed early in the powerplay by a well-executed yorker by Adam Milne in the third over as the first five overs turned into a nightmare.Though they managed to get some runs in the last over of the powerplay, 16 off Jacob Duffy thanks to some lovely shots by Rubin Hermann, disaster struck in the following over bowled by Mitchell Santner.

The Kiwi skipper bowled a terrific maiden over while bowling to Hendricks, who was looking restless at the crease. Santner showed his class and accuracy but the opening batter kept surviving, until magic ocurred on the last delivery thanks to a brilliant piece of fielding by Mark Chapman at short mid-on. Hendricks nudged the ball, hoping to get a quick single, but Chapman saved the run before releasing the ball in a flash while there was a slight yes-and-no moment between the two batters. As the ball found the stumps, Hermann was caught outside his crease at the non-striker's end.  This was a disappointing end to his innings, especially when he just started to get going in the last over of the powerplay.

The fans were enamoured by the cat-like reflexes of Chapman.
