ENG vs IND | Twitter livid as Jaiswal lets slip another to allow Duckett ton much to Siraj's chagrin

Catches win you matches is a cricket saying that will never go out of fashion, no matter how much the sport's tenets and pace change. Headingley on Tuesday was a perfect showcase of why the adage still holds relevance as Yashasvi Jaiswal heavily cost India with his fourth drop of the game.
England showed great maturity in Leeds on Day 5 as they resumed their pursuit of a 371-run target by showing respect to a searing spell of play from India throught he first hour before pressing the foot down and quickly rattling off the runs. By Lunch, the hosts had already raced to 117/0 and showed no signs of stopping after resumption either. While Zak Crawley was content dealing in ones and twos against the spread out field, Duckett played aggressor to hammer boundaries any opportunity he got. Before long, the southpaw had rushed into the 90s and stood on the brink of a ton when disaster seemed to struck -- only for Yashasvi Jaiswal to hand him a reprieve.
Batting on 97, Duckett was caught by surprise by a sharp Mohammed Siraj bumper and instinctively hooked the ball off his shoulders towards deep square leg. Jaiswal, placed in the deep for exactly that shot, came running towards his right with his eyes fixated on the red cherry and managed to make up enough ground to be in a good position to grab the ball. However, as he plunged forward, the Dukes struck his paln and wobbled out while Jaiswal hit the turf with a thud. Duckett had already resigned to his fate by this point and hopped in joy when he saw the ball being spilled while Siraj aggressively punched the air in frustration, his efforts gone to waste.
This was the fourth catch jaiswal had dropped in the encounter having already spilled three at gully, albeit one of them could be termed a half-chance, and Twitterati was quick to get on his case.
