Arsenal have joined Chelsea and Aston Villa in the race to sign Alejandro Garnacho, with Manchester United demanding £70 million for the 20-year-old winger. Garnacho’s public criticism of manager Ruben Amorim after being benched in the Europa League final has pushed United to consider a sale, despite his consistent performances and high potential.
In the summer transfer window of 2025, Arsenal have emerged as a surprise contender in the race to sign Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho, with a reported valuation of £70 million. The 20-year-old Argentina international could be on his way out of Old Trafford after a public fallout with manager Ruben Amorim, sparked by Garnacho’s criticism over not starting in the Europa League final against Tottenham.
Amorim, angered by the comments, reportedly told the player to “pray” he finds a new club, and left him out of the Premier League season finale. Chelsea and Aston Villa have also shown interest, while Napoli and Bayer Leverkusen are monitoring his situation. Despite overseas offers, Garnacho prefers to remain in the Premier League. Arsenal are looking to strengthen their wide attacking options, with Rodrygo, Anthony Gordon, and Nico Williams also on their shortlist.
Meanwhile, United are looking to raise funds for a squad overhaul under Amorim, having already signed Matheus Cunha. Garnacho, a product of Atlético Madrid’s youth system, has been a regular feature this season but his inconsistency in front of goal and off-field tension have led to his uncertain future.
